Car and Driver picks Honda Pilot over competition

Tuesday Oct 21 2008 - In the November 2008 issue of Car and Driver magazine, the editors have placed the all new 2009 Honda Pilot in first place over five other crossover all-wheel- drive competitors. Car and Driver said in the comparison shootout: “Since its 2002 introduction, Honda’s Pilot has bagged six C/D’s 5Best Trucks trophies. This latest gen – longer, wider, riding on 2.9 inches of newfound wheelbase – may well land it in the SUV Hall o’ Fame.” Here’s the final results from the recent competition:

Second: 2008 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring AWD
Third: 2008 Toyota Highlander Sport 4X4
Fourth: 2009 Ford Flex SEL
Fifth: 2009 Chevrolet Traverse LT
Sixth: 2008 Hyundai Veracruz Limited AWD
